The Markowitsch vineyard's best wine: 80% Merlot / 10% Blaufränkisch / 10% Zweigelt. The M1 is undoubtedly one of Austria's rarest and most sought-after wines.
A wine for very special occasions
A top-grade Cuvée of Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon can only thrive on sandy, lime-rich clay soil in very special years and is therefore always strictly limited in terms of volume. Subject to the highest standards, it is hand-selected between early and mid-October. "That's why the M1 is the greatest challenge in terms of Terroir and vinification. It is a wine for very special occasions."
