Piste Portraits

The "dark side" of the Glemmtal is in the North.

Less frequented, perfect for tight turns

The "North Faces of the Glemmtal" can be described as the playground for the advanced, the experts, and the courageous. The slopes marked with black, are deep black here. These slopes have always exuded a very masculine fascination. To tackle these descents, a skier needs perfect ski and body control. Strength and stamina are paramount. After all, the steel edges need to be pressed into the pistes, which are hardened by their steepness, with skill and sufficient force. These slopes are less frequented, thus the perfect place for tight turns. One can feel the thrill of physical activity with every turn. Burning thighs are part of the game. In the best case, the breathing rhythm is adapted to the rhythm of one's turns. Dropping into these slopes is nerve-tingling. One is in awe of the steepness. Try and befriend these pistes, but - beware! - they don't want to be friends with everyone.

"Schattberg North" Saalbach

"Schattberg X-Press" - where the bridge crosses the road. This slope cheekily grins at the south-oriented rooms of eva,VILLAGE and eva,GARDEN.

"Zwölferkogel North" Hinterglemm

This slope is respectfully called the North Face of the valley. The piste in question is located at the back of the "Zwölferkogel" and is basically a connection to the "Hochalm" valley station.
