Your way to get fit
The ski season in the Skicircus isn’t a sprint – it’s a marathon. 270 kilometers of slopes, endless descents, and maybe even a detour to the freeride mecca of Fieberbrunn – that takes stamina, strength, and balance. With the right exercises, you can prepare perfectly without spending hours in the gym.
The goal:
Strong legs = less muscle soreness, more power. Stable core = better balance and control. Better endurance = longer ski days without breaks.
In our eva,Workout, you'll find exercises like jump squats to power up your legs, mountain climbers for core and cardio, or side planks with leg lifts to boost your balance and stability. All easy to do, no equipment needed, and you can get it done in just 15 minutes.
Exercise 1: Jump Squats – Power for your turns
How it works:
Stand with feet hip-width apart, back straight.
Lower into a squat like a regular squat.
Jump up explosively, using your arms for momentum.
Land softly and go straight into the next rep.
Why?
It strengthens legs and glutes and improves explosiveness – perfect for quick direction changes on the slopes.
3 sets of 12 reps
Exercise 2: Mountain Climbers – Core & Endurance
How it works:
Start in a plank position (push-up start).
Dynamically pull one knee at a time toward your chest.
Keep up the pace, back stays stable.
Why?
It’s pure core training – your core gets stronger, and your endurance improves. Exactly what you need when the mountain day gets long.
3 rounds of 30 seconds
Exercise 3: Side Plank with Leg Lift – Balance like a pro
How it works:
Side plank on your forearm, legs extended.
Lift your hips so your body forms a straight line.
Slowly raise and lower the top leg.
Why?
It trains the lateral abs and core muscles, giving you the balance you need for clean turns.
2 sets of 10 reps per side
Do this workout 3 times a week – and you’ll feel the difference: your turns are smoother, you feel more stable, and most importantly: you’ll have way more fun on the mountain.
And since eva, is about more than just sweating, pair your workout with some pleasure. A hot sauna session at eva,SPA after training, a glass of Golden Spritz as a reward, or a good dinner – that’s the kind of balance we live for.
